Early in her career, Ms. Baan was working three jobs at once. She was a private duty nurse, a surgical nurse, and an actress. This friend suggested she apply to become a set nurse for television and film. At first, Ms. Baan was reluctant but she eventually applied and worked out because she is now a very successful nurse on movie sets.
Ms. Baan began her acting career at the age of 28. One of her first major roles was portraying a hostage rescued by Sylvester Stallone, in the movie “Nighthawks” in 1981. Her compassion drives her work and she strives to do all she can to help others as well as be a voice for the voiceless. She wrote the book “Are Miracles for Real? You Be the Judge” in 2019 and hopes to act in a family television series based on her book. Ms. Baan is also considering the idea of writing another book and wants to give people laughter, hope, and reassurance that God loves them just as they are.
