Sharon S. Goode, BS, MHA, RNC, Director of Nursing for McAuley Manor, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Nurses for dedication, achievements, and leadership in gerontological care.
During her five-decade-long career, Mrs. Goode has always prioritized one thing above all else: providing exceptional care to her patients. By keeping this goal at the forefront of her daily tasks in combination with her determined work ethic, she has found tremendous success in her work. Today, she excels as the director of nursing for McAuley Manor, a joint commission-accredited nursing and rehabilitation center Aurora, IL. Previously, she served the clinic as its in-service coordinator. In her career, Mrs. Goode has held numerous impactful roles, including coordinator of nursing for the Bethesda Lutheran Home and assistant director of nursing for Au Sable Valley Home.
In addition to the gratification she receives from working with her patients, Mrs. Goode is delighted to offer up her knowledge as a teacher to nurses that are emerging as leaders in her industry. Considered an expert by those who have been under her tutelage, her favorite academic area to teach includes body mechanics and transfer techniques. Today, Mrs. Goode often hears from her former students when they need advice.
Mrs. Goode is a graduate of the University of Saint Francis and holds a Bachelor of Science and a master’s degree in hospital administration. In addition, she has a diploma from the St. John’s Hospital School of Nursing and she is certified as a gerontological nurse. As she looks to the future, Mrs. Goode intends to continue in her work with McAuley Manor while mentoring the next generation of nurses.
