Mary Frances Moorhouse, RN, Rehabilitation Nurse at TNT-RN Enterprises, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Nurses for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the health care industry.
Utilizing more than four decades of industry experience, Ms. Moorhouse is the owner and consultant of TNT-RN Enterprises in Colorado Springs, CO, a position she has held since 1985. Alongside this appointment, she has also been acting on the adjunct faculty at Pikes Peak Community College since 2002. Prior to these illustrious roles, she was the director of nursing at Nurses PRN of Denver, Inc., in 1985. She commenced her career as a patient care coordinator of critical care at Penrose Community Hospital from 1974 to 1979.
A certified legal nurse consultant and forensic nurse, Ms. Moorhouse holds a diploma from the Beth El School of Nursing, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Colorado. Throughout her career, she has authored and co-authored several books, including the sixth edition of “Nursing Diagnosis Manual,” the 15th edition of “Nurses Pocket Guide: Diagnoses, Prioritized Interventions, and Rationales” and the fifth edition of “Application of Nursing Process and Nursing Diagnosis: An Interactive Text for Diagnostic Reasoning.” Dedicating her spare time to such organizations as the American Red Cross and the El Paso County Medical Reserve Corps, she is further affiliated with the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, the Colorado Nurses Association and the Association of Rehabilitation Nurses, among others.
As a testament to her success, Ms. Moorhouse has been honored with several accolades, including the Colorado Springs Nightingale Award in 2004 and the American Police Hall of Fame Civilian Appreciation Medal in 2010. Likewise, she was honored as a Southern Colorado Woman of the Year in the Health Field in 1988 and was District 3’s Nurse of the Year by the Colorado Nurses Association in 1987 and 2005. She has been highlighted in the 25th edition of Who’s Who of American Women, as well as several editions of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Nursing, Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare, and Who’s Who in the West.
