Janet Gordon Kremser, RN, Medical Legal Assistant, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Health Care Professionals for dedication, achievements, and leadership in medical surgical nursing.
Ms. Kresmer demonstrates more than six decades of medical know-how, having been a dedicated nurse throughout her career. This whirlwind of a career all began with a dream that she had early on in life, where she saw herself as a nurse. Since then, she has aided in helping patients throughout the decades. While she retired from nursing in 2006, she remains involved in the field as a medical legal assistant with Windhorst, Pastorek & Gaudrey. She began at the office in 1985, and continues her work in this venture to this day. Prior to retiring from nursing, she was a physician’s office nurse and directed the departments at Mercy Medical Center, Tulane Medical Center, Temple University Hospital, Freeport General Hospital and at Patchogue and Baldwin Public High Schools.
Ms. Kresmer earned an EdB from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh in 1963. She continued at Long Island University to receive an MPS in health care administration in 1975. In her career, she became a registered nurse in New York, Louisiana, Pennsylvania and Mississippi. Also notable about her career is her mission work. She originally met her husband in Philadelphia and he was soon to leave for a mission trip. However, something came up and he was no longer able to go and Ms. Kresmer went. The experience changed her life and she had gone on a mission trip almost every year from 1995 to 2007. She has also been involved with various community projects and with organizations such as the American Society of Training and Development and the American School Health Association.
