Having first considered becoming a veterinarian, Ms. Wilson ultimately found herself more suited to a career in nursing. She studied at Southern Nazarene University, earning a Master of Science in management with a concentration in nursing, and she is certified in wound care. For her efforts, she has received a Methodist Star and she was named Nurse of the Year by Le Bonheur Children’s Medical Center in 2003. Attributing her success to never saying no, constantly reading, and having determination to obtain and use information, Ms. Wilson aims to publish more of her work in the coming years.
