Judith Anne Myszka, RN, Nurse at Millard Fillmore Surgery Center, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Nurses for dedication, achievements, and leadership in Healthcare.

Since 2015, Ms. Myszka has been an RN manager for the Millard Filmore Surgical Center, after working for two years as a circulating nurse with the Buffalo Ambulatory Center. She has been a registered nurse in Buffalo, New York since 1978, as well as a preceptor of the operating room at the Buffalo General Hospital since 1991 and a member of the advisory board of the Niagara County Community College since 1991. Ms. Myszka was recognized in 2001 as a Western New York Nurse of Distinction, as well as a recipient of the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award featured in Who’s Who of American Women and the fifth edition of Who’s Who in American Nursing.

A Newton, New Jersey native, Ms. Myszka studied with the Buffalo General School of Nursing to earn a diploma in 1979, and earned a BSN from Daemen College in 1999. She first entered the field with the Buffalo General Hospital, becoming an acute care technician and LPN in 1978, followed by a role as assistant head nurse from 1981 to 1983. Ms. Myszka worked the operating room at Buffalo General from 1983 to 2006, and was a clinical operating room educator of the Roswell Park Cancer Institute from 2006 to 2012. Ms. Myszka has been certified in the operating room since 1990. She has always credited her success to always being positive.

In addition to a clinical role, Ms. Myszka has sought to heal the spirit as a Eucharist minister of the St. Christopher’s Church in Tonawanda. She has supported numerous nursing associations over her career, and is currently on the awards committee of the Professional Nurses Association, after serving on its board of directors from 2003 to 2005. She was chairperson of the Council of New York State for the Association of Operating Room Nurses from 1994 to 1996, and president of the association in Western New York from 1991 to 1992, and 2007-2009. Ms. Myszka has also been honored with inclusion in the Sigma Theta Tau honor society.
